INTRODUCTION
About Us
JASA Club IIUM is a student-based volunteer organization that focusses on Orang Asli in Peninsular Malaysia. Their activities vary from volunteering in Orang Asli’s villages (3-7 days) on Outreach programmes, facilitating Orang Asli’s students (3days) on Mentoring programmes and tutoring Orang Asli’s students on Ensino programmes. Selangor, Perak, Pahang, Negeri Sembilan and Kelantan are current states that they are focussing on Orang Asli’s development.


INTRODUCTION
History
Jalinan Siswa Bersama Masyarakat Asli or its acronym “JASA” is one of the student-based volunteer organization supervised under the Centre for Community Engagement and Services (CENSERVE) of International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). Established in the year of 2001, JASA now vigorously focuses on serving the Orang Asli communities around Peninsular Malaysia mainly on education as well as directly promote the Islamic values through our attitude and activities during the programs and modules conducted.

- Collaboration with Kementerian Belia dan Sukan for Projek A.S.L.I (Aspiration Success Leadership Initiative) with MyCorps Malaysia at POS Yum, Sg. Siput, Perak on 6-8th April 2018.

PROJECT SOUL: J.O.M QURBAN 2019
IMPACTFUL PROGRAM
Mega Outreach Project Soul: JOM Qurban was carried out in August 2019 in Kampung Orang Asli Chenglek, Pos Perwor, Sungai Siput, Perak. It a programme that aims to provide the real experience of the act of qurban to the aborigine community while strengthening the bond between the committees and villagers. It also aims to spread awareness to the aborigine community about the importance of religion and education in daily lives. The focus of this program carries the values of JASA IIUM that always strives for the betterment of the aborigine community in Malaysia.
Praise to Allah S.W.T, this programme of Mega Outreach Project Soul: JOM Qurban has gained an impressive support from the public that is eager to help the aborigine community in KOA Chenglek. It is undeniable that Mega Outreach Project Soul: JOM Qurban with the theme of Sacrification of Soul has managed to touch the souls of people who wish to see more development of the aborigine community. Through the conduction of this programme, all villages across Pos Perwor were able to receive the meat of qurban and many other benefits. In a nutshell, it is hoped that another chance will come by to serve, help, share and provide the aboriginal community with more benefits and advantages.




PROJECT NUR 2020
IMPACTFUL PROGRAM
Project Nur was successfully organized outreach conducted on 18 until 25 January 2020, with the theme of “Enlighten the Path” at at Kampung Pos Tohoi, Gua Musang, Kelantan. Collaborating with Jabatan Kemajuan Islam Malaysia (JAKIM) and Majlis Agama Islam Kelantan (MAIK), 79 volunteers had participated in this program with the aim of providing the aboriginal community with emotional and material social support despite all the challenges.
Various contributions were done such as the installation of 12 solar powered streets lamps, and 147 solar powered flashlights were donated to 120 houses. This had eased the Tohoi communities to go to surau at night and school for extra tuitions with new solar powered lamps. A new bureau called Ensino was also established for SK Tohoi student’s tuition where it focuses on their academic development. Furthermore, beatification for Tohoi’s mussolla and around village were done to motivate the community to go to the musolla.
