AKHI CLUB
ANAK-ANAK BERAKHLAK ISLAM CLUB
Introduction
Anak-Anak Berakhlak Islam (AKHI) Club is a mentoring-based club based in International Islamic University Malaysia. Started from humble beginnings, AKHI Club has been established in 2001, focusing on mentoring programmes for primary school students in SK Setapak Indah and SK Bandar Baru Sentul. Today, AKHI Club has expanded its wings, focusing towards secondary school students and the surrounding societies as a whole. Since 2019, AKHI Club has been actively contributing towards the students in SK Taman Samudra, SK Taman Koperasi Polis and SMK Seri Gombak. Furthermore, AKHI Club has initiated community service programmes in Kampung Kanchong Darat, Banting to assist the unprivileged societies economically and socially. As an achievement, AKHI Club has been awarded the CENSERVE Night Award for best mentoring-based club in 2019. In the same year, AKHI Club also collaborated with high profiled organisations such as Lembaga Zakat Selangor for Bakti Siswa and Cinta Syria Malaysia for Colours of Love Festival. Since then, AKHI Club has never stopped expanding into new areas and challenges, bringing club members into a new whole experience and perspective.

AULAD and FATEH Mentoring Camp Series
IMPACTFUL PROGRAM
AULAD Mentoring Camp Series are held in primary schools. In 2019, 70 shortlisted mentees were chosen from two schools which are Sekolah Kebangsaan Taman Samudra (SKTSa) and Sekolah Kebangsaan Taman Koperasi Polis (SKTKP).
FATEH Mentoring Camp Series, on the other hand, are held in secondary schools. As for 2019, the target participants had been improvised and one secondary school was added in the lists which is Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Sri Gombak (SEMERBAK). 52 students have been chosen and these students were ex-mentees of AKHI Club from their previous primary schools. This makes it easier to trace the students’ progress in their academic, values and manners.
The shortlisted participants for AULAD and FATEH programmes will remain the same throughout the year. AKHI believes that this is one of the ways to assist the mentees while being able to observe their performance from the first programme until the last. Positive development is hoped to be seen in each student as they continuously join the mentoring series.

Bakti Siswa (BAKSIS)
IMPACTFUL PROGRAM
This programme is meant to establish a platform for IIUM students especially members of AKHI Club to reach out to the unprivileged communities. In the meantime, this programme is set to promote volunteerism among students and motivate them to be more sensitive of their role and responsibility as future leaders in line with the surrounding social skills and accountability. Moreover, through this programme, it is hoped that the mentors will be motivated towards increasing their da’wah efforts in this club as well as in the future.
This programme first started in 2019 in Kampung Kanchong Darat, Banting, Selangor. Parading with the concept of BAKSIS, this programme was focused on the theme of “A Gift to the Community”. The objective of this programme is to reach out to the unprivileged communities, to instil and strengthen the act of humane and compassion among committees and also to strengthen the networking relationship between the club and the external agencies such Lembaga Zakat Selangor who had collaborated with AKHI.
FATEH Mentoring Camp Series, on the other hand, are held in secondary schools.
